Ready to use. Nowadays Sturgeon Glue is mainly used for the consolidation in the restoration and conservation field. Traditionally this type of glue was used as a painting medium for illuminated manuscripts, in Sturgeon Glue paintings, for sculpture polychromy or as a bookbinder glue. Making this glue is quite time-consuming. The dried Isinglass is cut into small pieces, soaked in demineralized water, kneaded, melted, filtered and poured onto a surface. No preservative has been added. Kremer House Bubble Film can be crushed and dissolved in warm water as required. To suppress mold growth, you can add 0.2% Biodocarb (78744) to the glue. The swim bladders come from sustainable and secured breeding.
