Brass-shiny crystals, with greenish-black streak, copper-iron sulfide CuFeS2, so to speak a mixture in the crystal of pyrites and chalcocytes. For copper smelting, the ore must either be roasted or converted to water-soluble copper sulfate by bacterial decomposition.
