In former times there were numerous deposits of earth color and raw materials for ceramics in today s Hesse. Unfortunately, the deposits are limited today, but we were able to obtain a small amount from the Upper Lahn area. The lumps of earth are milk coffee colored, the pigment itself rather flesh colored.
