The more the watercolor is diluted with water, the brighter and more transparent the color result.
This set is an ode to New York painting and a celebration of 33 years in business in NYC, colors reminiscent of the Hudson River School of painters and the ABEX painters of NYC. Five colors of this set were hand-picked and sourced from various locations in NY state by our NYC staff and milled by Kremer Pigmente in Germany. The other three are modern synthetic pigments that complement the earth tones.
Kremer watercolors are all made by hand in the Color-Mill in the Allgäu region. Our pure, high quality pigments form the main ingredient and are bound in a home made medium based on gum arabic and honey.
