Alba Albula is a buff white colored chalk from the Albula Pass in the Swiss canton of Graubünden (Grisons). This natural stone powder pigment allows for white and beige nuanced glazes without the use of pigments such as titanium white and zinc white. Just like the pigment Nero Bernino, Alba Albula is suitable for a wide range of techniques: acrylics, lime/fresco, ceramic, oil, tempera, watercolor/gouache, silicate binder, waterglas, and cement/tadelakt. Kremer Pigmente also delivers Alba Albula to a parquet company that uses this whitish mineral pigment to brighten certain wood floorings.
