GOLDEN PVA Conservation Paints are made from PolyVinyl Acetate (PVAc) resin dissolved in isopropanol. PVA Colors remain soluble in isopropanol and other alcohols, making them ideal for easy removal without disturbing the layers of original paint underneath. Suitable for art conservation inpainting techniques. Technical Specifications of The Pure Resin System: 100% polyvinyl acetate, thermoplastic solution polymer. Average molecular weight: 22,000 – 30,000 amu. Soluble in isopropanol, acetone and various ketones, acetates, and lower alcohols, insoluble in several glycols, hydrocarbons, higher alcohols and water. Glass Transition Temperature: 33 degrees C, Softening point: 96 - 102 degrees C. The set includes 22 colors in 5ml tubes: Bone Black, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Carbon Black, Chromium Oxide Green, Cadmium Red Light, Cadmium Yellow Light, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Cobalt Blue, Nickel Azo Yellow, Phthalo Blue (Green Shade), Phthalo Green (Blue Shade), Prussian Blue, Quinacridone/Nickel Azo Gold, Quinacridone Red, Quinacridone Violet, Raw Umber, Red Oxide, Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Viridian Green, Yellow Ochre.
