Is used dissolved in 70394 White Spirit 60 - 90° C or in pentane-hexane and similar solvents or also melted. Melting range 58 - 61° C, slowly evaporating. Cyclododecane, a temporary consolidant for treatment of artworks, including paintings, textiles and stone. Used for temporary consolidation, adhesion, cleaning and protection during transport. Cyclododecane is a waxy, water-repellent and non-toxic substance which sublimates residue-free after 20 to 48 hrs. Fields of application: Temporary protection of sensitive surfaces when working with water and aqueous solutions, aqueous adhesives or mortars of any kind.
