Phosphorescent pigment green consists of zinc sulfide, which is stimulated to afterglow by small additions of copper chloride. The effect depends on the particle size. If the pigments were ground finer, the afterglow effect would be destroyed. The pigment is not suitable for acidic binders; it is best used in acrylic.
